My Amazing Christmas Present

I am sick of painting.... we keep having to touch up stuff. It seems to be never ending.

Apparently this has been a problem for Laine, Rod's Mother as well. She has been painting, touching up, changing, etc. ~ she estimates over 100 hours. However the end result is amazing.

This picture was taking within the first few months of getting the horses. I asked if she would paint me a picture for my foyer. I will always treasure it forever! Thank you so much.

Sweet Sixteen

Sixteen. Life is seems to be one endless comment of "where did the time go?" Sixteen years ago December 10, 1994 7:01 P.M. our life changed forever. I went from a 23 year old inexperienced, clueless, and self centered young adult to a mother of an unbelievable little person. She arrived almost 5 weeks early at 5 pounds and 6 ounces.

Now we are sixteen years later. I took off from work on Friday to take her to get her license. After a few mistakes we left with drivers license in hand. Next on the to do was shopping for a dress for her party. This took us from Rivergate to Clarksville, but in the end we came home with the perfect dress.

Saturday night was the big night. We started out at the Opryland Hotel to take a few pictures and then headed to the Melting Pot for dinner. The guest list included: our family (Rod, Brandy, Tori, and Tina), Zac, Hayley, Paige, Michaela, Kayla, Brittany, Megan, and Jordan. Not sure how Zac and Jordan got so lucky to be out with all these BEAUTIFUL young ladies.

Enjoy some picture from the night:

First up is Rod doing Tori's toe nails :-)
