Built with Love and not by Professionals

The newlyweds are away on their honeymoon and the parents are still at work!  While Tori and Matt were gone, we wanted to surprise them with getting the house as ready as we could.  During the week of the wedding, Matt's mother, Wanda, had already painted all the ceilings and their bedroom walls.

So, on Wednesday, I called in my trusty go-to friend, Bobbie.

Bobbie, My Mom and I worked over there every evening.  We got the outside landscaping spruced up, the entire house pressure washed, the shutters painted, the front and back door painted, their bedroom setup, the house cleaned up, the bathroom cleaned, the addition that had been used as a catch all for all the tools, cleaned up, new light fixtures on the outside, new numbers for the door, windows cleaned and everything ready.

Rod worked on Tori's reading nook.  Rod's step-mom, Annette came up one day after work and helped me paint trim until late in the evening.  My Dad was around working on all kinds of stuff.  He cleaned all the construction debris from the yard and under the patio.  Then he started on the finishing of the electrical outlets and switches.  On Saturday we had a house full of Rod, his Dad, my Dad, Scott, Bobbie, Mom, and me.  We got all the doors hung back up in the house, the trim in the bedroom installed, the cabinets set back in the kitchen and more cleanup.  When we left, we were ready to welcome them home!

Everything might not be perfect, but this home has more love in the remodel than any I have ever seen!  Everyone has turned out to show their love and support to help these two start their lives.  I am over whelmed with everyone!  Thanks to everyone!

  1. It is wonderful how the Lord allows us to share our love. May they be filled with that Love to help them through the rocky times as well. It was great getting to hear about their honeymoon and all the fun they shared together. May the Lord bless them and keep them forever.
